FindingFIT

FindingFIT is a pdf file with active links (totaling 450 pages) that guides you through four modules of career management:  explanation of the fundamentals of this approach, self-assessment, creating life themes (patterns), and job search.

FindingFIT takes a fit approach to career development, using an analogy of a personal description as a "hand" and the best fit job/career as the "glove."  The process employs multiple self-assessment tools in the belief that no single instrument is accurate enough or comprehensive enough to trust.  This is the process employed in Self-Assessment and Career Development, (through three editions) previously published by Prentice-Hall and authored by James Clawson, John Kotter, Charles MacArthur, and Victor Faux.

A supplemental Excel workbook accompanies the book.  The Workbook contains pages for each of some two dozen self-assessment tools, life theme worksheets, and a Job Decision Worksheet for comparing career options.

The book/pdf file is available through Darden Business Publishing or on my Level Three Leadership site.
