Preface:  Why This Book

Adult Learning Chapter

This book summarizes the teaching experiences of two professors at the Darden Graduate School of Business who've been teaching graduate students in business for more than a half a century combined.  The book establishes a base of learning theory and then explores a dozen or so different approaches to teaching management--regardless of your discipline.  Topics are divided into things that happen before class, during class, and after class--including in the latter, managing academic careers and academic programs and institutions.

Includes chapters on adult learning theory, lecturing, case method, case writing, lecturing, experiential methods, discusson technique, role playing, and much much more.
