Biography
Elena Loutskina, Assistant Professor of Business
Administration, teaches in the Finance area. Her research focuses on the
role of venture capitalists and corporate venture capitalists in value
creation for entrepreneurial firms. She also works in the are of
securitization where she evaluates the impact of the securitization
markets on the financial management of financial and non-financial
corporations. One of her working papers received Best Paper Award at a
major conference in 2005. Her research was cited in the Financial Times
and received a number of grants including one from Kauffman Foundation in
the area of Entrepreneurial Studies.
Prior to joining Darden Elena taught at the undergraduate and graduate
levels at Carroll School of Management, Boston College where she received
Donald J. White Teaching Excellence Award. Before starting her academic
career, she worked at Cambridge Associates LLC and the National
Bank of Belarus.
