My name is Raul Chao and I am an Assistant Professor of Business Administration at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. My teaching and research interests include innovation and new product development, R&D processes, and organization design and incentives. My research has been supported by grants from the 3M Corporation, the Batten Institute at the University of Virginia, the Georgia Research Alliance, and the KPMG Foundation.
Prior to joining the Darden faculty, I worked as a management consultant serving U.S. and Latin American organizations in a wide range of industries including pharmaceutical, biomedical, healthcare, financial services, hospitality, and media among others. I live in Charlottesville, Virginia with my wife Cristina and our children Carolina Isabel and Tomas Raul.
