Express Lane Funding Request

Overview
It is expected that most faculty research and program funding will occur within the normal request cycle for both summer support and project support. There are times, however, when unforeseen opportunities arise, or projects require additional funding. The Express Lane funding process provides a means for faculty to pursue these time-sensitive opportunities.

Express Lane funding requests are funded through one of Darden's three centers, or through the R&CD Committee. Please use this process and ensure that your request is handled quickly.

Process

  1. Select an appropriate funding source (Tayloe Murphy, Olsson, Batten, R&CD Committee) for your proposal.
  2. If funding through a center, briefly discuss your proposal with the center director. Please also complete the section below, outlining your expected output and needs.
  3. Submit your request, using this form, to the R&CD Committee Chair.
  4. The R&CD Committee will request comments from the funding source director(s) or leaders.
  5. The funding source will respond to the Committee with comments.
  6. The R&CD Committee and Associate Dean for Faculty will inform the faculty of the final approval.
